The shaft has turned up and it is the correct one...

The shaft has turned up and it is the correct one (fatshaft) and the price was £202.52 inc vat ,i must say i thought it was going to be the wrong one .

Thanks, i am going to have to see what turns up, i have just spoken to them and as far as they can see the 44-840453A03 part has been superceeded by 44-840453 which according to them is a new...

Yep miine is a fat shaft, 19 spline , i did give the guy at Barrus my outboard serial number and he said it was the right shaft,( i am at a bit of a loss now)would it matter if i put a standard...

Thanks for that ,I called Barrus and they have said mercury are now making their own shafts for these (i thought they would be made by merc anyway) and the price is now £202.52 plus vat retail !...

Can anyone tell me the best place to get a new propshaft for a merc promax 300x torquemaster box, looking for a new one rather than refurb,also anyone got any idea of the cost?.
