It's below the part that pivots 'up & down' on the leg.
You'll see a black (cotton reel sized) item with 2 screws securing it.

Trim gauge sender unit

Make sure when you re-fit / replace the unit you use plenty of 2 - 4 - C marine lubricant on the fixing screws & in the threaded part within the leg. You'll stand a better chance of removing it next...
