A 5mph increase over 11 laps or whatever will amount to quite a lot, every little bit of speed will count. If he has a surface piercing prop and a transom lifter surely it will help overall

your opti will be relliable so get an offshore leg and a good gearbox and set yours up for pleasure/racing with the transom jack plate!! no fishing boats :angry:
