As far as I can figure out, the big things were: ...

As far as I can figure out, the big things were:

Fresh water test ground,
Longer runup,
Roughen the hull,
Special oils for the gearbox.

There was also the support from most - which did help...

Although I did not set the V24 speed record, I did get my V24 from the 72 mph mark to the 75.77 mph mark - legally!

I would not have done so without the help of several members of this site.
