Mercury manual sez V-6 260-245-300 HP set at 4 ....Those as well as 280 and Pro Max are the only V-6 I'm interested in though...

Car tacs won't work on an outboard engines PERIOD... When I was racing I was factory sponsered by Auto Meter and I choose an automotive tac from their line of recall units and it had to be modified...

Most all Mercury V-6 engines the pulse selection...

Most all Mercury V-6 engines the pulse selection on the rear of the tac should be placed on # 4 to yield accurate values...
