I went in a boat once with the engine fitted as described above i only got about 200yards before turning round and giving it back to the owner as i didn't like the fact that my head was in the water...

I'd have thought 5000rpm was about right as...

I'd have thought 5000rpm was about right as trimming out should pick up 1000revs and at 5 to 8mph
