The difference between a speedboat and a powerboat is easy to define....its time spent at the fuel pontoon divided by weight and length.....if it hurts u its a powerboat!!!!!!!!!!

Pilot is allways prefered, flying without one is not recommended.!!

That would Jan & Drew, pump all the fuel into the wrong tank at the start, this stops the engine. This means you do not break the boat in reall rough solent water!!! Very Cunning Ha Ha.

Exceptionally fast also....kim's Donzi has supposedly a lot more HP than OSG. But Kim's does not do 110MPH, which is what OSG reckons they were doing in practice on Staurday morning in Cowes.............spooky

I fully agree with JF, its simple. After the race the boats should be at their lightest. So if your weight is ok after the race it must have been ok when fuelled up. However for this to be so simple, one issue needs to be looked at. Are bow/trim/ballast tanks and their pick ups & dumps allowed...

I think & Gary can correct me if I'm wrong the HP/KG ratio applies to all boats. So a 1500kg boat could only run 333hp.
