    Phantom 18 resto

Remember polyester doesn’t stick to wood very well. If your replacing with timber. Some use g4. Or vinylester or epoxy. Polyester makes a simpler repair but needs more mechanical keying.

    Phantom 28 - crackerbox

Leviathan seemed to sit low aft. I am sure you may find some old comments on here from mr fuller about weight balance. Good luck with your venture. I’d love twin engines just for marina manoeuvring, although heaps of other reasons too.

    Bobs nose cone install advice

I’ve not installed one it I’ve read that the epoxy cracks. Boats are held together with epoxy so it must be a prep thing if you ask me. Also seen mention of jbweld being used. Welding sounds more permanent but I’d be nervous on my gearbox

    Scorpion rib jack plate install

I have a cnc 5.5” setback. Initially used it to clear transom height and to gain some low down bite from prop. Mine is 8.1 stepped hull and with motor direct on transom it slipped a lot when trying to plane. Scorpion have now built setback into some of their stepped hull transoms. Probably...

    Hunton

I agree. Cracking boats. I will own one eventually. Scorpion prices are dictated by Lymington Marine sales. Come to sell one privately and you realise the harsh truth. I sold a rib for 10k less than those advertised. Viewed a beautiful Hunton at hamble. 2years on the market. Some I...

    Hunton

My mate got a 2008 for 65k. Very reasonable price. Out of my budget and I think most are slightly overpriced by the one specialist seller. Older Mavericks and gazelles are few and far between. there was a 28 in spain for about £15k but his pictures didn’t match the advert so I didn’t waste my...

    Water ingress - Sharpe 19'

Does it on,y take on water when it is afloat? Some boats acumulqte a lot of water ashore. If you have a bilge pump, check that the outlet isabive waterline considerably, and even if it is, make an anti syphon loop in the hose. So make it go up high and then loop back down to bilge. My...
