I have just written the book about the 2008 Round Britain Powerboat Race. A bit late I know but it’s a bit of history now, needed to be done frankly. It is out on Amazon today.

To all of the forty-seven race teams who took part, all of you and your back-up teams, thank you. You were the race!

I have also designated a page to thanking Boatmad and Jon Fuller in particular for making the race certain by everyone, well almost everyone, getting behind it. Thanks Boatmad!!!

Great read, fab Christmas present!

When is the new RB planned ?
How hard can it be !!!!

Nice one Re-Leader, but the race cost £500,000 to put on (equivalent to almost £900,000 today) and eventually a team of 25 people, all unpaid, including ourselves plus 2 yrs of work at 16hrs a day, and that was by just a few of us initially, so if you can put all that together plus the deluge of attacks by the Green brigade and the Department of the Environment and then find 50 race teams who are willing to pay through the nose for the pleasure of taking part at £10 per hp then feel free to go ahead. I will stand back in admiration but hurry up, I might want to take part!!! Best regards, Mike.
