A dizzy 80mph?

I saw this the other day while wondering how I can spend my student loan!! :D . Having only been around Mr Noisy (thanks to ben) what can the boat do (mph) and is it even worth 44,000 new. The V24s Look ok but dont seem as fun as some of the older boats such as G4 etc...

75.6 mph:banana:

And that is an average two ways over the one kilo mark in almost perfect conditions. We peaked at 76.8 on the GPS.

And that is as fast as they can go at this moment in time in their 'legal race kit'.

They can go faster running E4 props (est 76mph).

They can get their chips 'chipped' and then go about 80mph.

But V4 is not chipped, and the best they ever got in testing was 74mph peak. Also - last I saw it was a little dodgy - having not been serviced or run for 1 year....

How much are the v24s worth? From what i've seen of the older boats even the nice (well looking and sounding) dont seem all that expensive. Is it as they are still quite new that they're up at 44,000?

They are currently around £26 000.
New they are about £50 000.

£26 000 is great value. It is a great boat.

There is the issue with the racing. This year we are being well looked after! But the boats are MIA for some reason. People are looking and waiting to see what happens next.

As for racing, one day there will be a calm sea and then the 'C' class boats are going to smoke our ASSes, but in the rough, they are solid, and go very well.
