been offered very cheap mooring for this summer which i find very handy as my trailer is knackerd and i find i use boat twice as much but has only been there just under 3 weeks and already coated in green slime going to get it out today and jet wash it but is there anything on the market that will prevent this other than antifoul even if i only get a couple of extra weeks before jet washing again

not got alot of work done though over the last three weeks but had some great days and evenings out in the boat

Unfortunately my boat was painted with antifoul when i bought it! And its a pain to get off and once you hav got it off its a pain to turn your boat upside down once youve done it aswell! I sanded mine back to gel coat and rang international paints and they told me to use a paint called INTERNATIONAL VC OFFSHORE WITH TEFLON! Its a paint for the underneath of offshore powerboats that is self burnishing (polishing) and has teflon in it so doesnt cause a drag like antifoul!

my boat was left in the sea in france with no antifoul on it at all before i bought it.when i got it the underneath of the hull was in a right state.i had to scrape it all with a plastic spreader followed by wet flatting with p800/1000/1200 then machine compounding with g6 followed by g3 then g10 then a good waxing all while the boat was sat on the trailer.it took fecking ages.never again!!

might try the wax cant be arsed to get it out and paint hull maybe in the winter for next season has anyone tried any of the products mentioned

There was a product called safe boat skin that some people were talking about on here or Rib.net - do a search and it should come up?

Not used it as I dry store my boats, but I think some people liked it ..........
