Well you gotta be over 12 to start with and to be honest I don't think there's an age limit but the K1000 (P16 racing) is 30.

now you don't want to be whooped by the juniors???

Oh BTW the fletcher runs with a standard Yammie 40HP 4 stroke too

How fast dya think a 12 year old should go then??

Standard fletcher 14GTO, but currently there is no weight specified as this year will be their first year.

On Windemere last year they got about 34MPH with that type of engine and about 35 with a 2 stroke Merc, with water speed giving a faster feel anyway I think that's fast enough for kids.

When the kids hit 15 they go up to a P16 with a 60Hp 4st Merc (1L) and they do on average 44MPH, don't want to frighten them off too quick do we.

I think you'll find it hard to find anything but 'lightweight' Fletchers!

The good quality stuff from Fletcher dried up years ago after Norman Fletcher sold up.

Who remembers the Arrowshaft 25?

I had a 21 Arrowbolt, which was quite a nice boat, but the hull and deck was stapled together (no bonding):aaahhh: and that was a '78 boat (I owned it in '85), I don't think things got any better! (sorry Chaos)

That would be great if you are in a position to do so, as a club we've got 1 and fletcher are putting up a 'works boat' too, plus we got 2 more private ones. We've got the kids just need the boats.

With the venues we got for this year we're even introducing a Le Mans type start, pit laps etc so lots going on. The calander is on the web site, sorry no thoer pics though.

Well, i,ll have a think about this, what about engine? i couldnt supply engine aswell. Would i have to donate a boat or would it remain my property:confused:

Whats the class and boat size if i wanted to start racing? i am 33 :frown:

Cheked out the 'ole boat test' looks great shame we didn't know about them at the time we looked at the mid range class though.

Gav, thanks you're an inspiration shame the manufacturer of our class hasn't got the original mould, they're doin a plug at the moment.

If we open the class up to other models I think the Seaquel would be the only other option.

Cheers.

Well if it ever does open up be sure to give me a shout!

PS Try and suggest an upto 40yr old class:drain: :drain:
