can anybody give me any info on the b23 batboats ie are they as stable as a phantom, are they just a race boat or can they be used as an everyday boat, whats the maximum hp they will take and will i at 17 stone fit in the cockpit.anybody know anything about the 1.3 class b23 owned by scott hodges.

I wouldn't consider a B23 to be a pleasure boat by any stretch of the imagination.

Scotts boat was originally built for John Miller about 5 years ago, it was built extremely light, and was very competitive.

It was involved in a collision whilst racing in South Africa, and got quite badly damaged, but I think it was repaired very well, and continued to be a competitive boat.

as a batboat owner,i can tell you they are complete box of tricks to drive. in a following sea they are a nightmare, but the ride is very soft.as for your size, like me its a very snug fit.

My Mate Large It won the National championships in that boat with Pat Mohan in 2000.
Who has it now, and how much iare they asking??
:bang:

Yep, That's the one!!
The boat was built in 1996 for the 1.3 Worlds in SA.
Great little race boat, but as Johnson rightly points out; not too practical for pleasure use.
It will be interesting to see if anyone bids on it!

No bids yet but has to be worth £8,500 I would have thought? Only 3 days left!

i used my backdraft this year for pleasure as much as i used my phantom, didnt have any problems, you just have to be carefull where you tie up
