Honda SportRacer built in 2003 (hull blue printed in 2005 by Desty Marine and re done by them in 2008), with April 2007 Honda BF 225 4-stroke engine, twin axle trailer with large trailer/advertising board (fully serviced in March 08 inc 4 new tyres), Raymarine GPS and repeater, VHF, 3 race prepared props, ropes and fenders, Cockpit cover and All over boat and engine cover.
Ex Championship winning boat in 2005 along with being a top three boat in 2004, 2006 and 2007. Shelley Jory - ‘Raymarine’, previously owned this boat

Bargin Honda 225 boat

Its a fantastic series, the reason I am selling is I cannot justify the costs when I tell my staff they must have a pay cut, then I turn to them and say "buy the way I'm off powerboat racing this weekend !!!!" it does not work.... So I want to have a break from it and get my business back on the right track. This is a great boat.

Granted its exciting to watch unfortunately for me too many crew fly out of the boats. Its a matter of time.

People over the years have come out of boats but due to very little publicity of powerboat racing you never get to see or hear about it.

Well I think it was 1 all at plymouth last year with the OCR boys.....

You have to get into stats to work that one out... Honda/F4sa ran 36 races last year over the 5 weekends - average of 17 boats per race so 17*36 = 612, lets call them "boat races" as units.

7 ejections / rolls? just a guess...... 100/612 *7 = 1.14% eg. on average you will get thrown out your boat / sink 1 in 90 races.....

Round britain - 6 legs, average of 30? boats per leg = 180 "Boat Races"
1 incident where a crew got wet I know about 100/180 *1 = 0.55%

Hence my conclusion is if you enetered round britain, you are only half as likely to get wet as racing in Honda...

Bit of fun - should really do some work......

The boats do have a tendency to roll and crews get thrown out, but what i was trying to get at is that over the nine year period so far no one has got seriously hurt.

When you enter the sport of powerboat racing you have to accpet it is dangerous just like any other motorsport.

OVER THE YEARS OTHER RACERS HAVE, LETS SAY, PUT HONDA DOWN, AND, IN THE PAST HONDA WAS STARTED, AS A CLASS/ SERIES FOR THE BEGINNERS.
BUT IN THE CURRENT CLASS, ANY SETUP OF MOST HONDA BOATS, IS AS GOOD, AND IN SOME, BETTER THAN ANY OTHER RACING CLASS CURRENTLY RACING.

Yes I know your family - say hi to everyone!

No intention of putting Honda down at all - I had the pleasure of driving a front running Honda 225 for SportsBoat and Rib last summer, and whilst I didn't do any high speed cornering I did get it up to top speed and with the Honda sponsorship and the look of the boats along with the numbers of boats involved it certainly deserves to do well. The reason for my comment was only in reply to 225's comment that "The series is coming up to its 10th year, has any major accidents happened yet?........"
