Is that for real or a piss take?
Is there a physicist on board?

Being serious, I know that brine is particularly abbrasive. And I also know that the the blackwater & crouch are bleeding salty...

but i thought the whole point of ali was non-rust?

I have to admit to not attending any materials lectures........They were during Home & Away!!

Just to add a little bit of use less info, certain grades of ali are ok but they have to be either 6082 or 5083. Not the stuff you can buy in B&Q!!!!:D :D

capt i think you are getting confused with your stomach again, its the hot dogs that are in brine:drain:

Point taken - thought it was cheap!

There are plenty of ali boats about, as long as it's the right stuff it's fine.

Your outboard is made form ali as are most jackplates and cheapo props, salt will eat it eventually though. Ali suffers from fatigue badly too next to steel.

Ive got a yank trailer its the tits but really heavy and wide. Its got a system you connect your hose to that blows the salt out of the bearings. I took all the brakess off well i cut the pipes as there illegal and they never worked right but other then that its like new

:brown:

Silver buy that trailer if you dont mind the journey those rollers will make getting your boat on a doddle! I norm drive my boat on till last weekend tide was going out stong i was on me own and drove her into one of the runners which cum off! i shouted so loud most of the anchor come out. im going to have get some poles on the rear to hold the boat in posiktion whilst i drive her on!

feck me mate Im sorry I was supposed to be there. It was a high tide last weekend and the current on that river. I have to put me wetsuit on and hold the back against the tide whilst someone else winches it in.

Ha silver we should go out one night get pissed and drive round flat out till we collide then sue each other for wreckless driving

Something to do:dizzy: :brown: :drink: :drink:

:drain: :drain: :drain: :drain:
