anybody know where i can get some heavy duty bouyancy bags from ?

very feckin funny :drain: :drain:

I dont use them meself, the misses takes care of family planning matters.

Most regular chandlers should have what you want - When I raced OCR in a Phantom 18 we just had regular dinghy buoyancy bags.

Why not visit you local Commercial tyre center & use the old punctured Tubes
The ones they throw away it's noramally a freebe. Just need to spen a day with ya puncture repair kit. ( dem truck tyres are fairly large).
You could fill em with helium ( Tried that in the past no great performace increase, thought it would improve power/ weight, not one of my better ideas !!!!)

Ive got a couple of innertubes in the bow,but I need a couple of heavy duty bags to fit under the infills down the sides of boat.

Have you considered using large blocks of polystyrene which ya could carve to shape? I reckon they might survive a 'mishap' better than inflatable bags.

Am I right that hydrogen and helium would leak out cos their molecule size is small enough it diffuses through the material? Or did I dream that?

Nope probably not. Helium leaks out of most things, think how long a helium baloon stay inflated next to one that has air in it.

Now don't laugh but i have an new lorry innertube with no leaks I don't need . I can't throw it out cos I am a founder member of the 'come in handy for someone club@ help yourself It's free I'll even pay the postage!

TD would it be any good for your Hemmeroydz if roofer doesn't want it?

Thats jolly nice of you, I bought a new one once and it was the best part of £20.

You should bring it along on saturday and Jonny can give it away as a prize in a 'spot the nobba who puts helium in his bouyancy bags' competition :D

Actually I think mine might have been for a tractor or something as it was massive. To big really, couldnt fully inflate it in the front of my boat.
