in sb&rm they tested a ballistic with reverse scallop chines.. what are they then??

The Chine, or outer spray rail, usually has it's underside just about horizontal, or just turned down slightly.

A reverse chine, like that that of the revengers, has a very steep 'downturn' on the chine.
This is to reduce or eliminate the tendency to instability in roll, or chine walking.

Reverse chine. Sorry its hard to see due to my crap photo.

and which bit is the scallop bit mean?

The scallop is the shape, a semi- circle. If you mean where is it on the boat, its visible on the far port side.

A Portugese libation or where you head in a storm.
