Silversufer Hi
I am going, but hopeing to help out as saftey boat.
:seaman:

hey that looks like a lovely phantom, silversurfer

Norty :D

I think you'll find it's easier to trim if you pack a big oul Missus as navigator:D :D

Missus

(digging out RIBEX foties)

We'll probably be there as well! - (If Kitten and I are back from the Isle of Man that is!

I am definatley going with me brothers who watched it out in ALICANTE! We have two phantoms going a 16 and my 20 hopefully see some of u there!

I`ll be there. Right on my doorstep, lovely chubly! If you are using the slip over at Mount Batten beware of the new yellow lines that have appeared overnight and also parking on the pavement seems to be be a no no after god knows how long as I found out to my expence at the recent racing.

Will be based in Salcombe that week may boat round from there Or tow it and launch at Plymouth. Where do u suggest launching from in Plymouth then?

Silversurfer - I live in Salcombe - but I'll be in the Isle of Man that week and we're due to finish around that date, so if you want to meet up send me a PM and I'll give you my number - Plymouth is 17 miles by water and about an hour in a car in July! If the weather is ok we'll probably go round by boat and you're welcome to join us!

Silversurfer, for all my moaning about parking etc, for me the MountBatten area is still my first choice and thinking about it they recently opened up a large area that was used as the pits for the transat race, if this is open up to jo public then parking for cars and trailers would not be an issue :drink:

Cookee - I have seen you launch down at Batson now u mention it. I think it was u a truck with a crane? (v.posh) Just brought the phantom 20 off Carly Baby (formally PhantomC92) but share a phantom 16 called "Cool Runnings II" with my brothers in Salcombe do you know "No Worries" Derek Bashams boat too?

I think i have seen some pics of your boat in the Fort pub as well? - Small World!

Plymouth sounds good never taken the 16 that far because of fuel. BUt can carry 40 gallons on the 20. Do you think thats enough fuel on an XR2? Not sure how far I can go with it only brought it a couple of weeks ago.

trust me you will have plenty of fuel, even if you go flat out it will do at least 80-90 miles

Hi there - yes that was me with the lorry!

I know cool runnings and I used to navigate in OCR in Dereks boat, and he drove the first BananaShark for the first season in 2000.

What can I say - they wanted some photos for the wall!

XR2 should use less than 80 litres per hour at race pace, so anything less than that will use a lot less fuel.

Cheers Carl

Do you think the trailer will make the round trip of 530 miles though?

the bearings were new in march so you shouldnt have a problem, but jack the trailer up and spin the wheels just to check for any noise

Will do ! Just spoke to Trio and sent them a pic of the crack for inspection - Got my book today as well - I think I might just be worrying about nothing the more I look at it and speak to people.

Just a born worrier I guess!

A few of us on Pontoon Talk are goin.

We'll see you there!

It looks like a few of us maybe watching then, why dont we all meet up over a beer at the Mount Batten bar at some stage???
Also if anyone needs craning in I may be able to help (no promisies).
