Hi all,

there happen to be a load of ex army dory type GRP boats in the yard at work.

Some are in good nick and some are not they are about 15/16ft long.

Just wondered if they might be of any interest to anybody.

I think they are asking about £ 300.00 each don't know about vat.

If anyone interested I will find out a bit more but the good ones seem to be going like hot cakes.

Regards
John

PS they are green

If they are what I think they are they will be Rigid Raiding Craft, RRC, mk1's. They were made by a variety of manufacturers, ie rotork, dell quay and finally fbm. Remember Murphys law no 1, your kit is allways built by the lowest bidder!!! They are actually 17' 1''1/2 long and used to be powered by a 140hp engine. Firstly Johnson and then Suzuki.

I have spent many a happy hour in them all around the globe, and then when things really got good all sorts of people shot at you and tried to help out the Labour Govt by killing the occupants and saving the pension!!!!

When I first started cox'n these venerable craft I was fit and ready for anything. Now I've got dodgy knees and am 4'' shorter, due to spine compression. I hope you really enjoy them. By the way they were nothing to do with the guys in karkhi, they were first introduced by the RM and they only got our leftovers!!

We had a load of the MOD-green Jonny 140's going around here cheap when they changed to the Spuki's. They had a big snorkel arrangement on top of the cowl.

They never worked!! If you ran onto a surf beach 6-8' and didnt keep ypur wits about you they still swamped and you lost the boat!!
