Any one here going to the Fleet review tomorrow?

Only if you did, perhaps it would inject some interesting conversation on the forum. That would make a change from the usual Gaff.

Jon, why do you find it necessary to be continually objectionable?

nope but a mate of mine (civiy) is on a a battle ship (boat) with his brother in law who is the gaffer . . . HMS Swallowmenob or something. Says hes having a whale of a time. Told him to ask about the golden rivet!!!

These things are great for the on lookers but a real pain in the ass if you taking part espically if you a "lad" as we where the buggers who had to get them all clean and shinny!

At last, a proper boater.

Carly, are you watching from the land or will you be on the water?

I am planning on spectating from just south of Ryde Pier where i hope to be able to see the mock battle take place.

Ah yes, the famous Reds vs Blues historical re-enactment. Which side will you be supporting? :lol:lol:

the plan at the mo is to go to priory bay,and have an all day bbq,but all could change once we are out

Judging by the navigation performace of the Navy in recent times best place to be.....:bolt:

HMS Leviathan not going then?

Id of thought a boat named after one of the Admirals fleet would be most welcome. In fact im surprised that you were not asked to escort Her Majesty the Queen during the Fleet Review.

No, not interested in the slightest, out on Saturday hopefully, will you be gracing the Poker run with your presence?

Nah, but if the weather is good i shall be out and about with my camera looking for some interesting subjects.

How on earth can you not be interested in Big Boats & Tall ships?

I Trust your not in this boating lark just for the status and image we all think it affords us.

Just not particularly interested in war ships of any type, new or old.

I don't think owning a 'speed boat' affords me much in the way of image or Status!
