anyone know what a mercury dts foot throttle looks like??

what . . dts? dts = Dinner Time Session!!!

digital throtle something. they say in mercury brochures you can get one but i cant find any reference to one forsale or pics anywhere

Digital Throttle and Shift - or fly-by-wire rather than heavy cables (my guess only)

As far as I am aware the DTS foot throttle is an option with the new Verado engines. They had a really smart one that have discontinued. The DTS (fly by wire) is the same as a Hot Foot but with and actuator bolted on the side, so nothing particularly trick.

cheers... ill have a nose

do they have any shift protection to stop you wining it into reverse at high rpm?? or does the engine management cover that?

My Barrus rep told me not to bother with them!

Glen, it says in your profile, that you're an electronics engineer, what line of electronics are you in?

i work on general digital and some analoge pwbas and electrical work for post office, repair £10m of kit at my office... dabble in PSUs, peltiers, earoms, timing ccts etc. some solenoids and hydraulics too.. used to do do car sparkyin and in car stereos/tvs etc..

is this a loaded question jonny? or genuine curiosity :shag:
