Burty's right, electronic trim gauges are poo. Loads of hysteresis, I mean absolutely loads, mine tells me when the engine is trimmed right up for launching and recovering or right down for going along and thats about it. However I've never bothered fitting a new sender so I guess that may make it a bit better

u got an 80+ speedo?

i never had trouble with my electronic trim gauge!
all i have that will be any good to you is trim and temp Mr Rob.

Burtys rev counter is a proper cheap gauge well worth getting

my speedo only shows 60mph and tacho 7000rpm

any speedo is poo unless its a liquid filled or gps one. you can only use it as a guide. mine flaps about all over the place and wouldnt trust it

thats what I have been told, I just want a cheap one for reference. Whats the cheapest hand held gps you can buy the report mph?

i have a gaffrig one from Tony plus Navman chartplotter and they both pretty much say the same just a bit delayed with the gps

got a garmin handheld for around 80 quid off interweb;)

Taz does your electronic trim gauge use the sender built into the midsection. Mine isnt very accurate as the engine has to move a fair way before the gauge moves so its no good at telling me exactly where the engine is when driving along.

Yes when i had my 275 merc i used the gauge with the sender thats fitted in the mid section. i never had any trouble with it when i sold the engine i whipped the sender out to :lol:lol:

Now i havent got room for any more gauges only the basics

They have some pretty cool GPS watchs on ebay that give speed
