hole shot with twin I/O

Hi guys,
my parents have this IMO nice Sea Ray 280 Sunsport fitted with two 350 mags, Bravo I drives and Mirage 21" props..

Out of the hole one of the props sometimes slips?? why is this??
Drives are all trimmed down but it still slips..

Two large/small props or??

if both props are identical then the prop that is 'sometimes' slipping may have a worn hub. Remove the prop that is slipping and give the rear of the hub a damn good clean and score a mark from the centre of the prop on to the hub itself. Make sure this score line is very clear. Take it for a caining and see if the score line has become seperated. If it has that would indicate that the hub is spinning inside the prop centre.

I agree with Mr Rob.
Also, are they 'nailing it' out of the hole - that could induce a prop to break free I guess.
And are both props in good condition with no nicks/damage?

no nicks or dammage - but could do with a bit of cleaning... I removed all the algea but still there's some "marks/stains"..

what are you doing to it?

Lots of jobs really. Strengthened the engine bay floor & engine beds - showed signs of flexing.
New manifolds on the motors.
Replace 1 transom assembly, refurbish the other.
Add Hydraulic steering.
Refurbish the tabs.
Removed swim platfom and paint transom.
And numerous other small jobs.

Just struggle to find time to do it.

Well, it's not on and I've not drilled any holes yet - but am currently thinking I will put it on - cos my next boat is as likely as not to have a pair of egg whisks on the back so there'd not be much point in saving IO hydraulic steering for it.
But I dunno, will see how it goes.
