They have been showing both Honda classes every day for the last few months. They should rename it the Honda channel!
Still it has been the best exposure pboat racing has ever had.

Question what has happened to Peter Butlers Fastrax on Sky?

When I last had a beer with him a couple of years ago he was talking of retiring - is that the case?

Had a chat with him at Plymouth last year during Class 1 weekend, seems he is doing alot of work in the middle east, mainly for class 1 wich aint shown on Sky no more

I have been talking over the last couple of days with the people responsible, and F200 coverage of Torquay is pretty much sorted, it's now a question of increasing the funds to make it better - ie get a chopper!

I was thinking more of the post race protesting that was going on from some compeditors. They HAVE to give way, just sticking ya nose to a transom on the inside does NOT give you the mark.
Unless the regulations are waved for the race, then it would be a free for all (far more fun and better to watch) and would regulated off the water. All race instructions used to state it was a requirement they are observed at all times, is it no longer the case ?
Dont give a Da.... one way or another just fink its daft to protest against sombody who was observing the rights of way. The race jury agreed (oops theres a first )

Speaking purely from the standpoint of someone who knows feck-all about racing and the people within the sport......

my main observation was that the series seemed full of relative learners, but whom obviousely had the financial resources to purchase and run one of the cougars.

As a spectator, it made for some entertaining TV, but surely theres gonna be a bad accident sooner rather than later??

Didn't see the race but according to PB1 2001 regarding the ever popular 'overlap'

Here's 2004s, a bit more detail but not too clear should a boat be trying to overtake on the inside. In KClass the kids are taught that the inside boat is given room at all times, but like wise the inside boat should not force out the outside boat weather it's overtaking or being overtaken.
When we have 10 at the first turn together they're told to keep their lane, not easy when you got 10 equal powered boats with an average age of 8-13....

I dont disagree but as far at the speed goes it makes no difference 15 or 150. 22.5 degress is there and speed an't got diddle squat to do with it according to the Rule.

See the point is everybody mentions inside boat but the inside boat does NOT have right of way under the rule until well clear. That is the contradiction. RYA dont help by say observe the rule then print something different in the next paragraph.

Read the 2004 Above again reading between the lines the overtaking boat on the inside must give way if not well clear. but it takes a read all 3 paras & xref the references. kor dont make it easy.
Anyway the whole point was there was a non valid protest on the sky thing and the race Jury agreed and threw it out. Protestor should have read rulel13 & PB1 before lodging protest.
