I need....

With that propshaft angle, and the depth at which it appears to be, I reckon there will be some outriggers somewhere, and some foils.

Doesn't say if it still has the Gnome with it.

Many years ago I was contacted by the owner at the time about doing some design work to improve the boat etc.

Very small budget and too much to do!

All very interesting though - but from what I know of the boat she was pretty un-stable. Think it went over once on testing. There was some pretty radical ideas on her - probably too many when just getting a gas turbine working (in those days) was a challenge enough.

Nice shaft angle too!

Seem to remember tha tthere was an aft foil that was a cross between a foil and a giant trim tab - did they call it a dyno-foil?

Anyway - it all looked very un-stable.

She was very narrow at the transom as well - which is generally not very succesful unless you only want to go in a straight line into a head sea.

She was sat for many years (early 80's?) on the Westlands site in Cowes - alongside the old B&W Whiskey gas turbine cat that Iain Nurse raced.

got just engines,32 litre supercharged sea griffins, new fully marinized,approx£4000 each

only 32 litre!!!

I'm sure if they'd have been 33's..............Matt would have snapped'm up!

2500 hp standard ,another 300hp if water inject superchargers.bought for tractor puller, but decided to use 5 x 2500 hp chevys.

If I had a hull that could handle 5000hp (and the bank account to feed em), that'd be a cool pair of motors.
