Has anyone put a lightened flywheel on a xs250 or a 200/225 optimax?

How many more revs did you get?

My props about 800 revs shy of the limit and I'm going to get it depitched but that will only recover about another 200.

Why not just change the prop? I don't think a lighter flywheel will gain any rpm

moment of inertia effect for flywheel

Here a good information about this question

A new props about at least £300 and the flywheel was just over £100 and has the potential to at the very least improve the acceleration but should gain a few revs. We will see when it arrives. I'll do some timed runs between some buoys.

Cheers for the graph :) I'm going to do some timed runs, taking into account tide, wind and conditions. Both before and after. So we will see what difference it makes.
