Do inboards Run on LRP?

don't they have ro have the timing sorted or something!

LRP - an increasing rare thing these days. Designed to replace old 4* with the lead in. In reality, the LRP ya tended to get from the station has sat for such a long time it can be a bit dirty, and LRP is just unleaded with an octane boost & valve lube.

Also, in their wisdom, the government elected to use a sodium based additive - which burns out turbochargers.
So most classic car owners now mix their own using super unleaded and a bit of additive, the best additives are millers vsp and castrol valvemaster, which use manganese and potassium instead of the lead/sodium.

Running LRP in a non catalysed/non lambda motor is fine. No motors I know of have either - though I don't go around checking everyone's motors - I guess the latest generation inboards with EFI could have lambda sensors - maybe Tony can check. Basically, all carbed motors are defo OK, 99% of EFI motors will also be OK.

Timing & Octane should also be fine - LRP is meant to be higher octane the normal unleaded so any motor that can run 'normal' will be OK on timing with LRP. However the reverse is not necessarily true.

So would your engines run on it Matt?

okey dokey I'll sort something out!
