I don't think 'Jus Gus' is a 25, not the '81 onwards 25 anyway, reckon it's a stretched 23. I think Steve stretched the 23 to 26, and also did a 31 I think (that bad boy must have been one long narrow fkkr)

'Aphrodisiac' (a name I nearly stole) doesn't look like a 25 either.

reckon thats a old 23, which I'm sure Pete & Jan had before the 25/28's

Jus Gus was a streched 23 first outing was a Varn Boat Club 78 i fink coz the Old boy was there with the BluFin Cat for its first outing

The Armstrongs was a 23, That was reborn in various guises over the years, Think it was Ladysave at one point but was then a twin rig

Aphrodisiac is gorgious!!!!

love the colours, styling & that dirty great 3-stripe Jonny on its arse.

thats what you call COOL :D

My boat came oh-so close to being 'Aphrodisiac', I've even got some line drawings of it with that name on it.

me too..................but thats coz you sent it to me as a suggestion & i quite liked it

Great photo's guys!!

Those stretched 23's were quite nice!..looked better than the std 23 I reckon.

I dont know why the 25 became so popular....I just think everyone wanted to be Jon Clarke...see Jonson's vid!

I certainly wouldn't have wanted to be Len in that Vid though. (It is Len in the back, right?)

Perhaps not but Clarke was f@~'#' awesome in the rough, must dig out the 'trip' sequence of photos where he digs it in front first, then cartwheels it , gets it repaired by SB and next week has to be lifted into boat to race because of multi cracked ribs!

Aphrodisiac.

Nice looking boat. Looks like it sits very high in the water. Is that Jonny a lightweight engine or summat?

Steve stopped offering the 23 and it's derivitives, coz like a Frode, or B23 for that matter, if it wasn't driven with complete and absolute commitment (and of course some skill) it would bite your sorry arse, usually in the form of a proper, full on stuff!

He said to me, I never really had a problem with it myself, but some of the less commited drivers had problems keeping the bow above water, so I stopped making them.

The 25 has far more recovery fwd. Look at a 23 in profile, it has virtually no forefoot whatsoever, back off at an in-opertune moment, and you get 2 microseconds to watch the big blue (or green) wobbly thing comin up the deck at you at 70mph :aaahhh: :aaahhh: :aaahhh:
