What's a cm, please?

What is 'forefoot'? (please)

The term 'forefoot' refers to the amount of volume/bouyancy in the hull form at the bows

a lot will give more recovery in the event of going in hard, but the boat will de-celerate quickly each time time the bluff front end does it's work.

the easiest way to describe it is with a drawing, but you'll have to excuse the crudness, as it's fkkn late!

Just my odd sense of humour. Ignore me, most do.

Thanks

My guess was that it was the length of 'boat' sticking out past the front edge of the screen. :bang:

Not quite sure what it says about me, but I got it.

It's an ISO thing right?

Cool. Yeh, the British metric system doesn't include the centimeter. mm's or mtrs,

It did when I was at school!

I had a ride back from Exmouth the other night in Chris D's phantom 28 with twin 200xs's on the ass , frightened the crap out of me at 78mph at dusk !!!:jaw:

the 28 seems to "wollow" at high speed but felt good on the water , my extreme sits in the water a lot firmer , that could be the 1 ton oil burner on the ass

the Phantom hull is def much more built for speed than the ring hull
( thats my opinion anyway)
but of course , i dont know how the extreme would have felt at 78mph as it wont go that fast but i do know we went down in my boat and it cost about £5 in red and back in chris's boat and his fuel clock said 19.5 gallons an hour (thats on each engine :jaw: ) that would be a 20 min ride of approx £60 - 70 !!!!! :jaw:

sod that

i will stick with the red stuff.

Just come across a couple of photos from Worlds many years ago.

Just about the most exciting driver of a Phantom I've ever seen - Dave Trotter.
