Hi there,
I have been using "your" forum for quite some time now - only as a guest though - and like it alot thus I had to take the plunge..

I am i the process of buying a Phantom 21 footer and looking for an engine - have a couple of Mercury's in mind already but am a bit confused..

Can somebody help me with the idffernce in the racing engines and the Optimax/ and or 2 stokes - whats the difference??

What kind of reliability should I expect in the 2.5 Racing?
Service pricing etc..

How stable are the "Racings" from Merc.?

BTW - the boat is "just" for fun and game ie. skiing, tubing etc.. not for racing..

Sorry i cant help with your outboard questions but im sure someone here will put you straight.
