Been out again today to try out the new tabs and let Cyco have a go they make a hell of a difference and make the boat alot more stable. There was a little swell and couldn't hold it flat out but achieved this at 7400rpm 1.87:1 with a 22.5" et lightening

No very stable actually.
If you lift the tabs up then sure it went back to it's flighty self.
Burty just needs some Hydraulic steering now.
Taz whichever tabs you get go for at least 23".
If you can afford tabs from too old then go for it they look the bollocks.

Probably is less than 5% cus got 8" setback and was running at like 1" above the transom. Massive rooster but good drive no slip.

checked on S and F and they say 5 to 8% is about the right slip for that much setback

It's hard to state slip to such an accurate number anyway, coz the only thing you can be sure of, is the 1.87:1 gear ratio.

Prop pitch could easily be a little different to what's stamped on it, or what the prop shop has told you, the Tacho is unlikely to be much better than 10% accurate, so RPM is unsure, and the GPS reading is only the peak reading it saw, so it coulda gone a bit quicker than that, or a bit slower (tidal flow is another factor if using GPS for speed readings)

So, whilst I don't doubt for one second it runs well into the 80's, slip factor is a bit of a grey area.
