Reluctant sale of Mk1 Phantom 21 and a large selection of spares built up from years of racing . House renovation project and lack of time to use forces sale. For those who remember, this boat last raced as ‘RG Racing’ and ‘Let’s Tango’ prior to that. Undoubtedly the most successful class C/2 boat in Guernsey in the 2009-2015 era. The Guernsey flags on the sides are decals and not painted on!
120 litre ‘v’ bottomed and internally baffled aluminium fuel tank

New all over cover
Engine- Mid 90’s carbureted 2.5L Mercury 200hp fitted to offshore mid-section and offshore saddle. 1.83:1 gearbox. Good, strong, powerhead which has been lightly modified (Boyesen reeds, Holley electric fuel pump and converted to pre-mix). Leg is fitted with a 2.4L Bridgeport tuner. Powerhead is running standard 32A electrics. Very reliable engine. Kept fairly standard for reliability, but could easily be modified to up the power with the included spares if wanted. Sounds fantastic. Currently fitted with 23P Mirage stainless prop.
Hydrive hydraulic steering, brilliant system that gives no play at the engine.
Trailer- Single axle Snipe bunked trailer (bearings and brake linings recently replaced and fitted with bearing buddies). New winch strap. No wear on tyres.
Spares- Large selection of spares including:
2.5L modified powerhead (ports have been gas-flowed and strengthening welded in exhaust chamber). Suggest it needs a re-bore and oversized pistons if it is going to be rebuilt
Ported and polished reed manifold with 2.4L Bridgeport carburettors and Boyesen drag reeds. Carbs fitted with polished velocity stacks

Pair of standard cylinder heads
Pair of skimmed high-compression cylinder heads and new head gaskets
Offshore sandwich plate
Offshore trim ram
Bob’s Machine Shop hydraulic jack plate, pump & hoses

A very solid and well proven boat which is ready to drop in the water and have some fun. Very sad to be parting with it, but I just don’t have the time to use it. I would rather not split it, but would be willing to sell the complete hull with engine and trailer without the spares.
