My clever ex wife forgot to leave the handbrake on her her brand new BMW X5 tonight. For northern members it rolled straight down the hill and into the lake at Scotmans Flash Water Activities Centre in Wigan. As this is a boat orientated forum I thought I would share this poor quality photo taken by my son on his Nokia!
What a mess!

Yesterday somebody whilst waiting forthe chain ferry at East Cowes decided to go to the papershop. Unfortunately they were parked at the top of the slope and handbrake was not on!

Car ended up going down the slipway into the water and sank.

Had to get police divers out etc to get a line on it!

Follow up: The Z4 (thanks Mr Rob) is taken to a BMW garage in M**Chester.
Electrics are re-wired.
Ex-wife pitches up, “There u go Mrs Ciao all done for you.” (I can’t do a Northern Accent in type)
Salesman fires up engine, catches fire, burns the brand new 7 series next to it, Z4 totally scorched, BMW dealership closed, fire engines called.

…My son rings me.”Daddy, I’m only 11 but I think I’ve seen it all now!!!”

“Well its different mate, but you still haven’t been over the Needles (+++)……..”

“Well if I do that will I end up boring and look at boatsad day after day?”

“You can’t do a lot worse than your Mother in recent days.”

“Point taken Daddy, what time on Monday do I start my sailing lessons?”
