have you heard of a formula called formulator ,its down at port solent

The one I know at Port Solent is a early-mid 80's red one in poor condition with trs drives and a wooden swim platform - bit bigger than mine. Been there for years, just moves around the from one end of the yard to the other between seasons.

thats the one, well if you do fancy another project all bids must be to the harbour master before july, the owner hasnt paid any storage fees for about 3 years, but like you say it is very tired

Love the hull shape of it, the extra bit of size makes a huge difference. Doubt it's worth anything much though, TRS drives are obsolete, and I was told at least 1 of the engines is shot, if it's been sitting up for a long time you'd have to assume both need replacing, plus the early 80's interiors look really really dated now, though perhaps might appeal to John jfk as there's probably some sheepskin somewhere in there. Be interested if someone decides to make a go of it though.

theres alot of work to,shame to see it rotting away

Yeh. Unless someone falls in love with it, which I guess is possible, I can't see it being worth the work though. It's actually the first formula I ever saw, maybe 7 or so years ago, in the same state then as now more or less, but I loved the shape and only realised what it was when I saw it again when I bought DR.

easy,

there is nothing like a furry cabin to rest my head on at the end of the day

i thought might be his, looks a good price to

Is there a guide price for the formulator or is it highest bid takes it away?

thers a notice on the side of the boat, but yes as i read it the highest price takes it,and i would think it would be in the hundreds and not the thousands, because of a full gut out and re-power

Agreed, not worth much. Ya could get lucky thought and it isn't so bad.
I think it's something like a 1983 302LS - see page 11 <a href='http://www.formulaboats.com/documents/brochures/1983%20Formula%20Brochure.pdf'>here</a>
or maybe a 302 sr1 - see page 11 <a href='http://www.formulaboats.com/documents/brochures/1984%20Formula%20Performance%20Brochure.pdf'>here</a>

Obviously it's a least a year since I last saw it and the brain cells fade a bit, so I could be wide of the mark, could be even older.

hard to tell which one as it had a cover on and stood high from the ground, but i would guess its the first one

i was at port solent yesterday and formulator is still there and you have untill the 1st of march to get your bids in. they were taking bids for it last summer,so i guess thet didnt get any thats why its still there. the notice on the boat says there is an outstanding bill of nearly £400 . so it could very cheap for someone ,but a **** load of work

Talking of which, Mr Yorke, is DR just about ready for a 2006 launch?
