Is there a relatively easy way to get a well stuck steering ram out?

I was kinda hoping that the engine may still be use-able afterwards TBH!
But thanks anyway:cheers:

Lubricate it, heat it, welly it,...Lubricate it, heat it, welly it...Lubricate it, heat it, welly it...Lubricate it, heat it, welly it...

Alternatively, get a replacement through tube.

How do I get the old one out. Does it unbolt at both ends then knock it out?

Yup, you need only get one of the nuts off. But remember, removng the tube separates the engine from the saddle so you need there to be no weight on it. If the rest is ok, when you start to get the tube into the bracket, you can use the new tube to drive it through and this helps keep everything inline. Take care not to damage the threads though.

dude i got a spare tube if you need it

Yeh, I`ll probs take you up on that, what do you want for it?

Sounds good to me, just so long as he gives me a bit more time to get it done instead of the normal 24hrs;) ;)

Burty,
Get him to draw up your footrest at the same time. I have an account at work now so its cheaper to go through me not direct (sometime) Dont ask for a receipt though:D ;)

No rush at all. I gotta find a hull to fit the thing on first!!
