Why is Class 3 racing on this forum called 3C rather than C3, i.e. Class 3.

I mean strictly speaking, 3C, should turn into "3rd Class" racing, which doesn't sound too good!

Cheers

Mark

3 C refers to Class III, subcategory 'C'

there used to be 'A' 'B' 'C' 'D' and 'S' which were 1 litre, 1.3 litre, 2 litre, 4 litre and 6 litre

I think there was a 3 litre class at some point, at least in europe

Adam will be able to give better details than me.

Hope this helps ;)

Just to confuse things a bit, OCR (Ofshore Circuit Racing) also uses (or did) 'A', 'B' and 'C' race numbering, but for different capacities, 'A' was 2 litre,'B' was 1.8 litre and 'C' was 1.3 litre

they only did it to trick us fikkos tho'

It's down to the UIM as well - the rest of the world call it 3C as opposed to C3 or Class 3.
