Big thankyou for all who turned up and raced / spectated / whatever.

Overall I believe we (the sport) put on a pretty good show - with good spectator appeal and lots of exciting racing. Thundercats and OCR worked really well and certainly gave close racing. F200 race looked pretty good to me - although I spectated rather more than I had planned!

Of course some areas could be improved on - but we are a volunteer club and trying to run an event on a tight budget and not loose too much money in doing so.

Many thanks to all
Adam

I for one would like to thank the ORDA Committe, and especialy Shirley, for a great weekend. I know the prize giving dragged on a bit because of the protests and placings, but hey, that's racing.

One BIG plus for the event was the pit area was run, but even better was the launching and recovery of the boats. Well done to all concerned. It went like clockwork for the first time in many a year.

Yes - fully agree that the launching / recovery worked better than ever. Tom and his team did a fantastic job. It was great not having to fight your way to a crane.

Hopefully we will be back in Torquay next year - and it is planned that there will be more space on the breakwater and around the area of the un-used slipways.
