Water Pressure gauge

I`ve fiited the jack plate and will be looking to get a water pressure gauge. Just a quick question though, what should this gauge go up to in terms of PSI (ie 15-20???)to fit on a 135?

buy it........ i would have thought a water pressure gauge is pretty standard?? besides if its wrong its only a few quid!

20 psi is plenty,my motor runs at 15 psi.

yep i have a new pump to iut in but she still pumping loads of water from da tell tales could be da gauge i spose oh well

Hay burty when you go over 70 does your boat cavitate from side to side?

No. its fine at all speeds.
check to see if you have any play in your midsection or maybe air in your steering

you could try replacing the pipe first because it might have a blockage in it. cheaper than buying a new guage or better still connect a footpump upto the guage and see if it reads the same when you pump

Last time i took it out before i blew the prop off over 70 was scary but im hoping that it was just da crap prop i had on there

if you have hydraulic steering then it wont make any difference.

not sure whats been done to my engine, had a quick look looks like some light portwork on rod slots and i've fitted a 1" intake spacer. Running on a A5 which is the later digital ecu with an offshore map in it

sure they give much better throttle response but not a great deal more power unless other things are done to the engine too

how are you getting more fuel dude?
as i said give more power if you have other things done too ie. modified ecu
