I currently own a Phantom 18 with 1998 Mercury 125hp 2-stroke.
She will comfortably reach 55mph with 3 people on board.
The boat is in Corfu and I use it mainly to get from A to B or to head to the mainland etc. So it has often fallen short in terms of practicality (mainly how many people I can seat but also overall weight of people + baggage).
With the current setup I easily achieve 1 litre per mile on a calm day with a few people on board - despite my hungry old 2 stroke.
I don't want to lose speed, ideally a new boat would get up to 60-65. I'd also like to keep my fuel economy at cruise of 1 litre per mile.
Does anyone have any suggestions on a decent setup? So far I'm leaning towards a 23'-35' Revenger or Scorpion RIB with a 150hp engine. Budget around £10k but less would be nice.
