no but me mate had a 500LC .....the RD in the picture had 3600 miles on it when i brought it , the guy who owned it brought it new and rode it once or twice a year, after each [dry] outing it would be sprayed with wd40 ,rapped up in blankets and tied up with string like a parcel in his shed, yours truly brought it put the clip ons / exhaust on it ....... 6 weeks later i was on a it at about 80 mph [in a 30] rounding a bend ... as i accelerated out of the bend i got a tank slapper ; after about 60 - 70 yrds it spat me off , i was at this point air bourne approtching a telegraph pole , i ducked , missed the pole by 2-3 inches landed on the ground proceeded to roll like a rag doll down the road , when i came to a stop the bike was sliding on its left side , it then hit a bump which through it up in the air , it then landed on the clocks, it then landed on its right hand side continued to slide / sparking as it went it then slid into the kerb , raping the exhaust round the swining arm. total mileage 4200 !!!
