anybody got any guesses as to why, when I connected my fuel sender to guage tonight its given me half a tank of petrol free?

very confusing :dizzy: should i assume that the floats probably just stuck in one place where its never been filled

OR

is it likely the the specific resistance range for my sender differs to that of my faria guage?

Mebbe 'Trio' didn't trim/bend the float lever to give a full sweep from empty to full using all the windings of the sender.

Or mebbe they fitted a "euro" resistance sender, which would mean a sender or gauge swap!

if you need help try wema they make senders in poole broadstone

If it uses Smartcraft guages you'll need the "US spec" one from Wema - however if it's a US / Euro cock up it should just read backwards - ie full is empty ............

I am guessing your sender may need to be adjusted? Its your own fualt for not buying a dip stick sender.

Chaos. Stick an ohmeter between the sender terminal and the housing to give a baseline resistance for empty - should then be able to tell whether it's euro or us, or just bollox.

Who has a bloody fuel gague on a p21? Get a piece of wood like the rest of us!

From what I've seen, he's got so many gauges he'll need a flight engineer.

not too far from the truth Matt,

i'm thinking i may keep it as it is....thus adding an element of danger after the fuel level hits half way
