Wots better belly tank or fuel tank mounted in the rear?

wot do you guys reckon on belly tanks then? Ive got one in me phantom 21 but mite change it to a tank fitted in the rear to give a bit more lift!

Belly tank = weight lower down = better laterall stability plus possibly better longitudinal balance for rough water handling

Tank fitted in rear (assuming its a big boxy sort of one that sits on the deck beneath the engine well?) = weight further aft = better top speed = poss worse handling in rough as higher center of gravity plus stern heavy / bow light boat...although...this may improve your rough water handling depending on how the boat feels already.

Basically all down to the individual boat and your preference for handling characteristics

The boat handles well! but im having to trim alot to get it riding on its "heel" if ya know wot i mean! And then its got a 20ft rooster behind it!

Its a late xr2 but its been played with slightly! Im running a jack plate and bow tank and im spinning a worked small hub 24" pitch lazer 2 thats been thinned, cupped and turned down in pitch slightly by prop revolutions! She fly,s and i thought she was set up nicely but my friends dad drove her at the weekend in southampton and thinks she mite need even more bow lift! The thing is i,d only really driven her off littlehampton and we dont really get flat days like they do in southampton waters! except for those dreaded ferry wash's!!

they do all sorts of diferent sizes and shapes
i use one in ocr and they are as tough as old
boots (polyprop) plus you can slide them
backwards and forwards to adjust the balance

The prop you are running is my old prop that I used to run on my P20 with an XR2.
To get more bow lift I would say leave the belly tank where it is and get the prop re-worked.
I had the prop worked to not give to much bow lift, I wanted the boat to run level.
Just call up Prop rev tell them what you have and quote the prop number, then ask if they can create more lift without lossing speed.
ET lightning is the prop that you want, much faster than what you have there with better handling characteristics.
