XR2 Compresions

I recently carried out a routine compression check on my engine,when I purchased it the reading's were all arround 150 admitably with an engine that had been stood and not had been run properly ie on muffs,having now used my boat considerably the compressions are now all around 165,even the 150 seems higher than most examples given on here would this indicate a fairly high state of tune for my engine? and does this sound OK ?

That’s in the higher side, make sure you run super unleaded to avoid deto and use a fully synthetic oil. You’ll also notice, a stronger battery and opening the carb throats during a compression test will increase the reading.
