Phantom 25 - Beyond OBSESSION!
I thought it was high time I shared a few pictures of my Phantom 25's progress since the Back to black thread some three or more years ago.
About this time last year, messers Chaos and T.D. introduced me to great guy by the name of Mike Nickolson. An absolute guru in most facets of the Powerboating world. From custom painting, to rigging and racing.
It's pretty safe to say, 'if Mike doesn't know it, it probably ain't worth knowing anyway'.
Anyways, due to Mike's Vast knowledge and passion, this custom paint job was soon to become a total custom refit.
But for now, here's a few pics of the paint job.
The hull sides, engine well and transom area's are pretty much finished. Just the Boat name to go on the hull sides. Which I've no doubt will also have air brushed shadows and fades too, if it's left to Mike...... lol
The deck and cockpit area's are to be masked, painted and air brushed next.
Hopefully this weekend.....fingers crossed!

OK! OK!
Here's a few more pictures of Mike's Air Brushing prowess.
1. The vinyl mask file for the paint peel effect on the laptop.
2. The mask in place on the boat.
3. Air brushed Peeling paint effect.
Jumped a few mask stages to the Phantom Logo.
4. Phantom 25 logo revealed beneath the peel.
Like a stick of rock reveals it's origin.
A REAL Phantom....not a cheap copy ......lol.....JF?
5. Also Phantom 25 logo across the transom.

Yeah!!!!...........You and me both!!!!
The paint progress was a little slow this weekend as Cinzano had to be finished off ready for Cowes-Torquay first.
But here's a few pictures of the Lifter trial fit.
A nice tight fit....just how we like it...lol.
No pri*k in a bucket holes on this instal
And the new Shifter console and interior side trim panels,
with cutouts for the JL Audio 8 inch component speakers.
And one of the In-Control Foot Throttle in place too.
