Wondered if you were going to restore your velocity to how it was before it was stolen or have you got a completely new theme in mind? also wondered if you have chosen your power plant & drive yet?? having run numerous holden pick ups with small block chevy's i wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.My current HSV Maloo runs a wilkinshaw performance 6.2litre, all alloy, V8 supercharged & runs 600hp plus on very mild boost & i believe chevrolet are going to offer a very similar engine for powerboat use in the very near future.
All the best
Peter

Hi Peter,
I wont be putting her back to original condition with regard to trim, at present i have not given it too much thought i will have a better idea once she is here and i have had a chance to go over her.
As for running gear, she will be fitted with a Bravo XR drive and external power steering. As for power i will be going big block 496HO, 500EFI or something similar (Ilmore 575). The Hull is built for 600hp though i know some people in the US have run more. She should make 75mph with a 496HO, 82 to 84mph with a 500EFI. It is unlikely that I will use her for competition as she is too light, (2250kg's in pleasure trim) so i am aiming for a quick fun boat for poker runs, quick trips to Yarmouth for sundowners etc.

The shipping vessel has been delayed so she will be spending Christmas in Bremerhaven. Now due to arrive in Southampton on 30th December.
(Just beating the VAT increase).

Well, slow progress is better than no progress I guess!
Well i have been sourcing all the necessary bits to fit the holes already in the hull and have now fitted new stainless pop up cleats and navigation lights and spent this weekend hand sanding the paint off the sides as i think she looks better in white gelcoat.
Whilst the red paint was good it didn't look right with the tinted perspex windscreen.

Yeah, I ordered a carver cover from the states.
Wouldn't recommend it though, cost a bloody fortune.
