all jokes asside; well pleased with Gavs work. All things considered..... mainly the time constraints we had (he's a busy boy ya know!)....... the outcome is great.

Hey, I'm going to paint my floor too in my fletcher. What have you used for it. And how can you best make that red dripps in it? I want a white floor with blue dripps... How much had you used to do the entire boat off yours? It's very nice saw your video too, Nice boat and cool sound that your mariner produces

bigboy, its flocoat, you can get it from your local fibreglass moulders/suppliers, just ask them to mix you a small amount of the blue you require, when you have applied the base coat( white?) then as quickly as possible flick the blue in, i use a rubber glove and just simply dip the ends of the fingers in the blue and flick it in the boat from several angles! be sure not to put too much on yr fingers. i must stress that the blue flick has to be applied while the base coat is still WET!! otherwise it will not stick!
If you require any more info please dont hesitate to drop me an email seaquel@tiscali.co.uk and i will explain in more detail the process.....
good luck
Gav

Always wondered what the flecks are for? Is it just slip resistance or something to do with curring? or anything else?

looks nice (well, to me atleast)
more slip resistant than plain flocoat. some peeps have mixed sand in to the flocoating to act in the same way

When you never use it. You can better trow it all out. It is less weight and no problems with that wather etc.. Thats what i think.

Removing all that weight from the nose will give him more much needed bow lift

Think that he has no setback. Most phantoms, rings and bernico's have 30cm setback here. This could help you also to have more bow lift. I think that my problem will be too much bow lift.
