Photo's



Not being all that clever with a computer , i have (several times) tried to upload a picture onto boatmad but i keep getting told that the file is too big !!!
What do i need to do to reduce the file size ????

Cheers Burty , i have tried irfanview.com but i still dont see how you reduce the size of the pic , i had several attempts but no joy looks like i will be sticking to words.
If only i had something interesting to say !!!!!!!

If you have downloaded the software then open the pic you want to resize then click image on the tool bar. click resize resampe and select 640x 480
then go to file menu and click save as then choose the quality you want the smaller the number the smaller the file
if the pic started at around 500k then a quality of around 85% should be small enough to post on here
