David has been talking to me about this Annie as he wants it out in the market place. So we shall have to persuade Jon to edit the longer film so that we can get the DVD out. Will probably take a couple of weeks. "Davids RB08 Diary- Uncut" sounds appropriate.
David has been "doing his stuff" like this at race meetings since 1981 and thats why he is so good at it (we used to each do our own cine filming and then join the films together for showing at Cruiser Class Meetings in them there old days) and of course he has always been outrageous with the girls and somehow always gets away with it. We could tell you some stories that would make your hair stand on end but thats for another day. He was sponsored for a couple of years by Penthouse so you can imagine

Here's the latest & final version of David's Diary. Includes footage of Marcus's Supermarine Swordfish sinking in Lyme bay.
Duration, 40 minutes.
http://media.boatmad.com/gallery/v/m...small.wmv.html
Be warned, it's nearly 600 meg, but should stream reasonably well. Better video quality than the original one posted at the start of this thread..
You can place your mouse over the moving image, right click, choose 'zoom' and 'full screen'. quality is just about good enough. Video needs to be in play mode when you do it.

There "needs" to be an edit combining Davids footage along with the official footage , and using the music selected by Jon.

I'll drop the raw footage round tomorrow night. You already have the music.

Please don't do that until you have talked to me first. All footage taken on the RB08 is copyright to COC Ltd. You are talking about film that cost an awful lot of money to make.

I certainly won't be doing anything of the sort. I have no talent or ability, for starters.
The suggestion was tongue in cheek cos I reckon Jon just fancies another round of editing after hitting what looks like Version 28 of editing David's Diary.
But you gotta admit the 2 sets of footage compliment each other nicely - it would make a good edit wouldn't it.

You are right of course. It would be nice to see it done sometime (probably make it into a 2.5 hour film) but not right now as all the films are up in London being put together for a 1hr TV documentary about RB08 on Channel 4. I'm seeing them tomorrow together with Markus Hendricks, Ray Bulman, Johnny Caulcutt, and Tony Hamilton who are all being interviewed for the film.
