Exactly - I have nothing against the classes shown and wish them all the best - but does seem rather a lot is missing.
Or is this a change of direction / policy for the sport from the RYA?
From the title of 'this is us' - kind of feels like a lot of us are not in the same 'us'!

That's a real shame as you'd think that as there's a new powerboat manager she would try to re-group and bring the sport together...maybe she'd like to comment on this forum !!!

in all fairness apparently the video was put together for the awards evening and there were no championships awarded to any of the traditional offshore classes - as a result of so few competitors.
So really time that offshore got it's act together. For me that would mean a major simplification , less classes, less clubs etc - but that's far too logical

hi
Excuse my butting in,,, but just returning from a 15 yr break from boats,,,i can see in less than two weeks that nothings changed in the RYA,,,i was thinking about going back to racing of some sort,,but in very little time,,ive made the decison for just a fun boat,,,i used to pump money at this,,older wiser and slightly more intelligent now,,,,i shant be wasting any in the rya`s direction!,,there was never much come back from them, unless you had something that was worth high thousands, and you raced abroad and actually came somewhere,,, then they would jump on the bandwagon for the attachment to make themselves look good, the clues in the word,,,,"Yachting", endeth the sermon!
