IF and event was discussed to run this year what SERIOUS interest would we have to support it? whether it be a poker run, cruise or get together.
Whats the thoughts??

I Done blade run in 2006. Great event but a newly refurbed boat broke and the event cut short due to the sea conditions

drivers is always a good event but lack of entries saw it cancelled last year but a few boats turned up for the fun run to Gunwharf quay last year. the party was a good laugh too. hopefully an event of some description will happen its just about who is going to enter.
GB poker runs are here but again its all about interest, and i mean genuine interest

I've got a crew that will commit to Guernsey in June if the weather allows a crossing, what would be even better is if another boat or two would be able to commit also from a safety perspective. Any takers?

im sure an unofficial day out could be arranged if peeps just want to meet up and go for a blast, to do an event will mean event insurance.... tis a sticky area.

It's only a case of a suggested date, blast out there, BBQ and beer after. We can't help it if a load of boats all go the same direction! ;-)

The GPA "Round Island and poker run" event is scheduled for 23/24 June.

See link to their events page:
http://boatmad.com/forum/showthread.php?t=19971

I have spoken with Diablo who is organising and he's hoping for a good turn out.
